T5 - Life Sucks - C 2

Life sucks. All our institutions are corrupt as are our representatives in society whether they be politicians or priests. I can't stand it. Where can I fit in and maintain even the tiniest sense of integrity? I think I'm depressed.

It’s not hard to fit in however there are some almost impossible prerequisites: first
one has to know, accept and honor oneself, one’s likes, dislikes, desires, needs, etc.
and then one has to find an avenue of expression that’s a good fit with whatever one
is. Most people I know - and I do know people who are exceptions - never fulfil
either of these prerequisites and live sickly lives of confusion, anxiety and frustration.

Become a better politician or priest or whatever if it’s whatever that bugs you. Of
course figure out, as above, where you can best fit in and make a good contribution.
You don’t want to be unhappy fighting the good fight if it doesn’t really fit with who
you really are. If you can’t find a good fit, even though you may function well,
happiness, being satisfied with what happens, will elude you.
